Focus and steer

Watching a dozen sessions is only useful if you can act on the one that needs you. Focus and steer is the loop: scan the grid, focus a cell, do the work, step back.

Scan

Keep the full grid in view. A quick scan tells you which sessions are producing output and which are sitting at a prompt waiting for an answer. You do not need to read the text to get the shape of it.

Focus a cell

Bring a cell into focus to give it your attention. The focused cell is where your keystrokes go, so you can type a prompt, approve an action, or paste a path without the other sessions stealing input.

Steer

Steering is just using the terminal: answer the question, refine the prompt, point the agent at the next file. Because the cell is a real Claude Code session, anything you would do in your own terminal works here.

Step back

When the session is moving again, step back to the grid and let it run. Your attention returns to the whole fleet, ready for the next cell that needs a hand.
